Part Time Youth Director (Jr. High and Sr. High School Youth Leader)

 

 Goal Statement of the Youth Director: “We want CCC to be the Church our Kids bring their Friends to.”

 

Community Christian Church is actively searching for an organized, self motivated, dynamic, person who loves working with 12-18 year olds in a Christian setting. This person will be flexible to meet the needs of the Youth and Congregation of Community Christian Church. The Successful candidate will need to work closely with parents, willing to help organize volunteers for events, be creative with programs that will keep the Youth interested and involved. 

 

The Youth Director will report directly to the Sr. Pastor and will meet with a Personal Committee for a review after 90 Days and annually after that. 

 

Sunday Responsibilities include coordinating Jr. High and Sr. High Sunday School Programs, Coordinating Youth participation in service and conduct Youth meetings after church or in the evening (twice a month).

 

Other Core responsibilities include, but not limited to:

-     Develop and maintain mentoring relationship with youth

-     One on one assistance/counseling with youth as necessary

-     Plan, attend and lead

          1.     Specials events, Holiday Events

          2.     Youth related fundraisers

          3.     Mission Trips

          4.     Occasional meetings with parents/updating parents on Youth program

          5.     Gender specific programs (arrange for a leader if necessary)

 

Includes, but not limited to arranging volunteers, purchasing supplies with in allotted budged, and transportation for Youth as needed to and from events, camp, etc.

     -Help prepare Youth for summer camp programs

     -Coordinate activates/planning with the Children’s Ministry director

     - Write occasional articles in Church Newsletter to keep members up to date on the Youth events

     -Meet regularly with Church Staff, including Sr. Pastor, attend Board Meetings

 

Hours must be flexible to accommodate special events, mission trips, summer camp, and church functions. Community Christian Church also reserves the right to amend this description based on the needs and growth of the youth program and church. This person will have theological views that are compatible with the characteristics of the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).
